Here goes. I’m Shane, I’m neurodivergent and have trouble reading social cues. I benefit when people are upfront with me, as I’m on the Autism spectrum. I grew up in a house (Boomers) that stigmatized this but am learning it’s nothing to be ashamed of. It’s just different. To all neurodiverse people out there, never feel ashamed telling people that. We’re just different, not wrong. You’re valid.

I understand completely! Both of my grandchildren are on the spectrum and are the brightest, funniest, kindest most genuine people I know. I'm so proud of them and their uniqueness. I'm sure you are just as awesome and welcome!!
Especially close with my son, who is on the spectrum.
