Socializing without alcohol and avoiding COVID

I went out with two friends last night where we got to sit socially distanced away from others. I enjoyed my lime topo chico with dinner and mint Moroccan tea after. I left when they shifted to the bar. Happy to not have the day ruining hangover after! And I still had a great time :relaxed:

What are you doing to socialize without alcohol that is COVID safe?

Great job. Always have an exit plan when socializing with others who use. Feel proud you did the right thing. Keep it going.

It’s certainly a bit of a challenge these days to get out and stay safe from both alcohol and Covid. It sounds like you figured it out, and enjoyed a nice evening. I’m doing 90% of my socializing outdoors. Fortunately, the weather is gorgeous this time of year down here in South Florida, so eating outside, and outdoor live music venues are plentiful. My AA meetings are outside at a park too! As far as non alcoholic beverages go, I enjoy ginger beer Herbal ginger/mint tea with a little steamed lemonade and honey is my go to drink at home. Little by little I’m becoming perfectly ok with the sober lifestyle .

Maegen, yesterday I spent the day in SF, went to the museum of modern art, where I distanced, and they are only letting in a limited number of people. Then I walked around one of my favorite neighborhoods and got some Thai food, checked out a few stores, then met up with a friend for dinner (we sat outside) and walked around his neighborhood. All in all it was an excellent Covid conscious alcohol free day!
