Good morning to all My courageous Brothers and Sisters!
Last night I had the privilege of taking one of my Sponsees to a meeting.
He drank this week and was rewarded with a DUI.
I am reminded once again that the solution- 'the' Recovery from addiction/Alcoholism is still the same as it was back in 1939 when our beautiful book was written.
Over the years I have seen many well intentioned people, programs and therapists attempt to recreate, add to and substitute many ideas and actions for the recovery program that has not changed or stopped working for more than 80 years.
I need to remember that the core of our beautiful program is simple.....
Trust God
Clean House
Help Others..
After 29 years of burying 17 Brothers and Sisters, 2 Sponsors and 5 Sponsees that I do not pollute the original message of recovery in Alcoholic's Anonymous.
