Some of us don’t just make mistakes…
we destroy parts of our lives while trying to survive them.
We’ve hurt people we love.
Embarrassed ourselves.
Said things we can’t take back.
Burned bridges while drowning in pain no one else could see.
And then comes the silence —
when you’re left alone with the weight of what you’ve done.
That’s where change begins.
Not when people forgive you.
Not when life gets easier.
But when you finally look in the mirror and decide you refuse to stay the person you used to be.
I know that place.
Addiction took my identity.
Codependency stole my self-worth.
I lived for approval and lost myself in the process.
But rock bottom teaches something pride never will —
no one is coming to save you unless you choose to stand up.
So I did.
I learned forgiveness isn’t about them.
It’s about breaking the chains the past keeps wrapped around your soul.
Today I don’t chase acceptance.
I chase growth.
I protect my peace.
And I help others climb out of the darkness I once lived in.
Because sometimes one person saying,
“I care about you,”
is enough to keep someone alive another day.
If you’ve fallen… get up.
If you’ve failed… learn.
If you’re broken… rebuild.
Your worst chapter is not your final one.
Live. Love. Keep going.
May God bless you all.

codependency and addiction together is a particular kind of lost. chasing approval while drowning, many aren't aware until yrs later. the fact that you did the work, found forgiveness, and now you’re pulling others up… that’s not an accident, that’s a calling.
