Some triggering events happened today

So today, I found out that I am no longer allowed at my late dads house. I've been going there every day since the day after he passed and it has never been a problem until now. That is the shortened version, not inclusing the fact that the neighbor was yelling in my face "Your dad is dead, hes not coming back. Just go drink about it like a normal person, stop coming to this house, you have no reason to be here."

I am just so lost. Having major cravings. I just wanna go out...

Breathe, Bree. Don’t let someone else get the best of you. Take it minute by my minute if you have to.

Bree, sorry that you’re having a hard time.
When my dad passed everyone and everything was screaming at me to get loaded.
My dad certainly did not want me to get drunk and I realized that drinking was going to make me feel worse.
I leaned into my AA program and sober community. I went to 3 meetings daily and talked about my situation. It really helped.
I’m here if you want to talk

One day at a time it will get better don’t let someone else ruin your recovery

@bree295471 .. Breathe... The passing of a family member, confidant, friend or neighbor is a very traumatic experience for all involved.
Do you still have family at his former residence?
The neighbor yelling at you is concerning. Why was the neighbor yelling at you?
Eventually you will have to let go of the memories, both good and bad, of the times you had with your father.
People say the weirdest :poop: when they are amped up or when they are overwhelmed.
Either way you did the right thing by sharing about it.
You're not lost as you came to the right place. Don't allow this person to have free rent in your head. This person is surely not worth drinking over..
You have this.. I know this sounds cliche however just one day at a time. It may even come down to 30 seconds at a time.
Either way you can get through this.
