Somedays it takes everything inside of me not to relapse

I know exactly how your feeling but what I try to do is think it out and play it out till the end. I know if I do that I will feel terrible and who knows I could end up back where I was when I surrendered out of desperation. That is a feeling I never want to have to go through again.Hang on tight to your higher power and reach out to your sober friends or try and do a meeting or anything to keep you busy and out of stinking thinking.I hope this helps I feel the same way sometimes at 9 months but it does pass and gets better.

It takes a lot of courage, honesty, and willingness to admit that alcohol isn't serving you and make the decision to get sober. It you have done that or are working on doing that, you should be so proud of yourself.

If you’re using everything in you not to relapse, that is strength. When the urge hits, sometimes it’s anger, loneliness, or exhaustion wearing a different face. Try naming what you’re feeling.

Have you checked out SAM™️ It’s a paid feature, but it’s there to help guide you through sobriety. You don’t have to white-knuckle this alone, we’re all here for you.

I’m with you Tyler! But hey, when I feel like taking a drink or whatever, I play it out in my head to the bitter end of it. I remember the hangovers and misery etc. Then I’m grateful to be sober and not sick. Works every time!
I’m here if you want to talk

Keep using everything inside you. You're stronger than you think if you strongly desire to drink/use and you don't! I know it's ain't easy.

If you want to talk, I'm here.
