Somehow I need to win back my wife

Good luck Sean :pray:t3:

I am not sure

Slow down man… that is going to take time and patience. And there is no sure fire way to know if you will. Right now just focus on the next right thing and not picking up. Fixing relationships comes later. I don’t know your story, but for me it was all about showing my wife I could be trusted and I was being truthful about being sober. I wish you luck! Try not to hold resentment’s if things don’t happen on your time line.

I agree :point_up:, Rome wasn’t built in a day. My suggestion is to put full focus on recovery and put that absolutely number one!! My next suggestion is to join a recovery program and work on yourself and make recovery for you. You’ll be astonished how things fall into a better place.

Thanks all

that's painful. I've been there. it took ongoing treatment to get sober & realize my worth. I, too, had to give up someone I thought I needed. No matter the relationship, I needed time, space, & support to RECOVER first. I needed to forgive & fight for myself. I decided, if he can't support my recovery (together or apart, we share a child) he is the last person I need in my life.

He moved on immediately. I'm single 1.5 yrs later, until I'm fully ready & ensure the best version of myself. I met a wonderful man. We've been close for over a year. He fights his own battles. Tho he wants to be together he hasn't made a move once & remains fully respectful as he continues to work on himself. No pressure at all. My therapist said, if I meet someone worthy of my best self, he will respect my recovery & personal goals (he'd still be here a year later).

Loving myself gave me confidence & peace, drawing love & people to me. I'm better, stronger, & it seems to anger my ex. He didn't love or deserve me. I've been happier than I ever thought I could be, without him & with me.

I hope this helps u in some way.
Keep showing up for yourself.
Big Love :pray::heart:

Honestly, first thing first. You need to focus on fixing yourself. I know it's a hard pill to swallow. But, you need to be priority #1.

Nothing in life should be forced. Let things happen naturally. If it’s meant to be it’s meant to be. If not….. the sun will rise tomorrow.

Work back your life, homie. And good shĂŻt will come of it.

Sometimes working on ourselves is the best way to demonstrate our commitment to others even if it seems selfish. What about you? What are some of your goals?
