Sometimes I feel like addiction has done so much damage in my life, that I won’t ever get a happily ever after.

I felt the same when I was early in sobriety. It does get better! I almost lost my family because of my addiction. It takes work, and life on life’s terms is true. But we all make our own future. Keep a strong positive mental attitude!

I have felt like that too and it lead to more using. The truth is that no matter how far down the wrong path that you have gone, you can always do a YOU turn and get back on the right one. You can definitely have a happily ever after, it will start with you and the first step is forgiveness and kindness to yourself. Happy New Year!
