Soooo many alcohol- free events, but…

Soooo many alcohol- free events, but….. why are they all family friendly?!?!? Yes I have a very unpopular opinion. I cannot stand being around children. And so many events boast Alcohol Free in the OKC area, then, reading the event description it will say family friendly. I don’t want to spend $250/plate for a charity event if your rug rat will be screaming the whole time. Sorry for the vent

:joy: sorry found this hilarious. I hear you. You want some adult AF time. I really can’t find any in Miami family or not. :woman_facepalming:

Haha, Taylor I love this, and I totally feel you. I’m not sure if the tour is coming near you, but look up the Sans Bar Tour. Chris Marshall is rad and takes over bars and makes them mocktail bars for the night. A bunch of sober people all in one place!

L.M.A.O....Good one

:face_with_monocle::rofl::shushing_face:

And this is the reason I don’t attend family friendly events, at restaurants I sit at the bar top, I go grocery shopping late at night. I do my part to avoid it I just wish there were more adult only options

Agreed, just because we don’t drink doesn’t mean we want to live a PG life lol.

I didn’t get clean to win friends and influence others.. nor did I get clean to be miserable.

I have kids and I agree with you. There should be more adult only events that are alcohol free. We need to meet people and have a good time to. It be nice to have an easier way to just go out and feel free for a night without having to worry about temptations or children ruining it and being able to have fun. We should try to come up with ways to make this happen

Of course!

If it's that pricy, it should be adults only. As a gay man, it would rubbing it in my face that I can't have kids. And people wonder why I'm so forking depressed...

Sounds like your area needs someone to set up and host sober adults only events.
Here's your chance for some service work.
If you don't like something, you can complain or you can change it.

I’m from OKC, but have a kiddo. How do I find out about events around here?

The MOMA was my first choice always look at the Ominiplex and the Seminole children’s museum according to my parent friends

MOMA? I was talking about sober events coming up. How do I find out about those?
