Hello! I am new to this app and just over a month sober. I could really use more friends who understand addiction. I live in a small community who are more judgmental even if theyre trying to be supportive. I could really use a sponser as well so if anybody is willing to talk and get to know each other please message me!

You are in the right place. We are all here to help carry what gets too heavy
I think everyone approaches recovery differently. AA is a great fit for some, but for others not so much. Feel out different options and find a good fit. The goal is to be healthy and happy.

I find going to meetings and fellowshipping helps. Also read the stories in the back of the big book.

CONGRATULATIONS on your 39 days of sobriety.
Secondly we all could use more friends who understand us. The "normal" people can't.
Third... Sadly, to say that a small, judgmental community exists here.
