Okay this my first run at choosing a sponsor and off the top the dude I asked was like don't call me before 10am, I don't do too much text, and it's your responsibility to reach out to me. Okay due to work, p.o. calls, IOP meetings, and actual meetings it's been like 5 days since I made contact with him. Decided to reach out tonight via text and he like grilled me talking about trying to give me the benefit of the doubt and he's not sure if this relationship gonna work. I was like WTH are you talking about in my mind. Like I didn't know I was in a relationship, I just wanted step work or a friendly check in with advice as suggested. Didn't know I was expected to kiss somebody hindparts. This joint kinda pissed me off and according to other shares I've heard I wonder if this is the protocol of sponsorship.
Unfortunately it is for some sponsors. I can usually weed them out real fast. I hate texting so I have a hard time finding a sponsor who actually will speak to me on the phone.
Don’t let this discourage you. You concentrate on your sobriety and eventually things will work out..with or without this sponsor
