I’m a year and 4 months sober and I’ve never had a sponsor. I’ve got practically no females in my area with the clean time. I also never wanted to become too needy for someone. But it would be nice to have a person to call me on my bs , if needed. Anyone who might volunteer will be appreciate!

Hi Mandy, have you tried any AA in your area, or online? I know after meetings they announce people who are willing to be sponsors every time. I'll be searching for one soon too but this is the easiest way to find one. Keep up the great work!

I don’t recommend this but sometimes a man will sponsor a woman. My Homegroup is all men. They are all my big brothers and then there’s one “dad”. They have been there more for me than any woman ever has in the ten years I’ve been in the program. Well other than my sponsor who is actually a woman.

Hi, I don’t drive and the closest meeting is an hour away. I stay in touch with other people in recovery but I’m about to have to start a meeting in our town. But even after that there are no women with the sobriety that comes. It’s been that way the last few years.

Same. I've never had a sponsor. 04/24/21 I wanted a sponsor, but no one was available or interested. :woman_shrugging: I was unable to do in person meetings, so I did zoom meets instead. I work out of town, so it's nearly impossible to get to a meeting in person.
