How does one go about finding a sponsour? Specifully gender neutral

Going to an in person step meeting and ask someone who is working the steps to be your sponsor

Does the sponsor themselves have to identify gender neutral, or are you ok with a person that is open minded to it? If the former, it’s most certainly going to cut down on your options. I would recommend LGBTQIA zoom meetings. If the latter, I think you can find a sponsor by just going to meetings and getting to know people. I’ve seen plenty of que£r sponsees with straight sponsors. Sometimes we learn the most from people that are different than us. That goes for both people. Regardless, don’t give up looking. If you want to work a 12 step program, it’s important to have a sponsor
