Grateful for spontaneous road trips where I CHOOSE to sleep in my car, waking up to the sound of the ocean, and smell of fresh salt air.

I usually go to the Eureka area. But I go all over. Been to Wyoming three times, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, and all up and down the West Coast from Canada to Mexico. It’s was my 3.5 year sobriety gift to myself. New car and traveling.

About 8 years ago I quit my last job and took a 6 month trip out west. I started in Baja California and worked my way if the coast, I had a small camper for half the trip, the other half car camped and got a hotel once in awhile. Ended in Seattle then took my time getting back to the Midwest. It was an amazing time. Lately I have been going to Cape Cod for extended camp/surf weekends

There’s an AA Spiritual Retreat at Caspar Beach every year. I’m heading there. So excited. They have meetings. On the beach, crafts a sweat lodge, bbqs, and all kinds of activities. It’s a nice change from the hustle of everyday life.
