Started to notice how much alcohol is celebrated in every moment. I was at the OC Fair this year and walked around with a fruity tropical looking beverage ( dragonfruit/lemonade). Each person that walked by asked where I had gotten this drink and IF there was alcohol in it, when answering no, a sigh of disappointment on there end. They of course said it would be a lot better if I did. 
Not knowing my history with alcohol, it just irked me because why is that the ingredient for fun in our culture. The fair just looked different this year through sober eyes, a lot of things look different. Still wouldn’t change a think. Happy to be sober now and living in the present, even if it’s difficult sometimes. 🧜♀

It's funny how sobriety/active recovery will completely change one's perspective. TV shows where people are constantly drinking where you never thought twice about it before, the kind of things we find funny, the new patterns and activities we find ourselves in.
It's difficult, but well worth it.
