If you really want sobriety you can do it if you work an honest program

Let's face it. No one comes to alcoholic's anonymous on a winning streak. I remember my first meeting and I was completely broken mind, body and soul. It is the only thing would I have ever tried. That has kept me sober for any prolonged period of time. Every other time I would quit drinking, it would be temporary and it would not take much for me to turn right back to it. It was my solution to everything. If you follow the suggestions of people that came before you you will be just fine. When they told me to pray, I didn't think it would work, but I did anyway. Over 2 years into this thing, and I am happy, joyous, and free. Every single one of the promises has come true for me. The only way this works, though, is with complete honesty. I wish you nothing but the best of luck, but it's here for the taking if you truly want to quit drinking for good.

I thought that AA was a cult when I first started going to meetings...then I heard, "a cult that doesn't ask anything of you but honesty?" :man_shrugging:t2::rofl:
