Starting my 3rd bday sober. The last time I drank on my bday I was just digging out the last scoops of dirt of the emotional pit I had dug myself. Looking back, it’s not as deep of a pit as I had thought it was as I was digging it. Nevertheless, it was deep enough. Today I am thankful for me. Sounds selfish, but it takes a significant amount of self care to fix and heal yourself. It’s a never ending battle that I am so grateful I get to fight. Hang in there everyone who’s fighting this fight, it does get better!! Merry Christmas
