Starting over, day 1

Chelsey, glad you are here.
There are thankfully many resources out there - as has been mentioned.

I am not against AA while I ll just say it … living where I do, seems that the in person meetings tend to be a sea of white elderly men.

I swear. There is n o way I am the only South Asian American in the middle of life, in the midst of recovery / in the Deep South. Trying it alone , by myself has never worked for me. This is a great community and you will find support here!

That’s how I feel too by the way. I think I could probably find womens groups. I’m just not ready to do that yet.

Hang in there. One day at a time. Reach out if you need someone to talk to through any difficult craving moments.

But came back stronger than ever once I agreed I was gonna no longer destroy my life and my loved ones around me. Keep it ip

The reason those white men are old, is because AA works. Trust me there are women in those meetings as well. We see what our disease wants us to see.

There are two things that matter today. First is you're sober today. Second is what did you learn from your relapse that you can use to stay sober today. Sending Love & Positive Energy :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::heart::hugs:
