Starting over

I messed up today, I’m pretty upset with myself about it because I have been through this so many times. I like the feeling of being sober, I’m energetic and happy and just feel healthier and can keep my mind under control for the most part. Such a let down to myself honestly. :man_facepalming:t2:

Don’t be so hard on yourself. You still have the time to do the work, and keep moving forward.

The relapse I’ve heard brings us closer to true sobriety. Had a few too. Keep coming as they say :+1:

We all fall, what matters is picking yourself back up and doing it again. You’ll get it!!

You have won half the battle by admitting your set back and moving forward. We have all been there. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and begin anew! This group is here for you. Just keep coming back. You have this one day at a time. Blessings and inspiration your way.

Ohhhh, I have been there many times. It’s a awful feeling the guilt. Yet, it happens to the best of us . Don’t beat yourself up it will just lead to using and you will wind up even in a worse mental state. Just because you slipped doesn’t mean to me your previous sober days don’t count . U got this !

You understand and you know what's best for you. It's ok to be upset for a moment and acknowledge but forgive yourself. You are worth another chance!

Don’t beat yourself up and don’t count how many times you fall. What matters is you get back up… that old saying fall 7 times get up 8 is the story of our lives…

“The worst part about anything that’s self destructive is that it’s so intimate. You become so close with your addictions & illnesses that leaving them behind is like killing the part of yourself that taught you how to survive.”
Don’t be so hard on yourself.. you are not defined by your relapses, but by your decision to remain in recovery despite them.
Tomorrow is a new day! Keep your head up.

Meet lots of people on here.and in meetings.don’t isolate.

Well learn from it don’t harp on it move forward tomorrow or today and make today the day. Man you’re being honest so that’s great! But learn why you did it. Don’t just sit in a self pity party and cry, get up do some work and learn get a journal wrote down this failure but learn it fast and after write down how grateful you are to be alive. I’m not going to be sad for you. You need hard a holes who say hard things. If you wanna move forward get into he book. Get your sponsor and come up with a plan. Go work out get out of the encoroment you drank in. It’s hard I have relapsed so much before but eventually 14 days ago I realized how for 12 years how much I hurt so many ppl from me drinking. I’m committed like you should be to staying sober. Remember these pains make yourself sick so when this comes up again you feel pain not pleasure
