Keep coming back!

It’s frustrating, but don’t give up. I’ve been down that road a few times and then some.

Me too. Just last night in fact

Just keep trying...you're worth it!

Keep trying!!!

Unfortunately this is part of a lot of people's recovery. Just get up and do it better this time. What happened? What can you do better? How's your sober support system? These are all questions to ask yourself. If you do things the same way, you'll have the same outcome.

Hang in there, you can do this.

Stay strong , keep ya head up

Chin up, back at it

In AA /rehab the difference between a slip and relapse was explained to me and I really took it to heart. A slip is when you drink /use , even for a night or weekend, then you realize you screwed up and seek help/ council. A relapse is when you give up, don't seek help, just say F it and go full speed back into drinking/using. It sounds to me like you had a slip over the weekend and you are back. It was also stressed, that after a slip is the best time to catch it and actually strengthen your resolve and sobriety.
You slipped up and returned to seek help/council. Many here are proud of you.
Strength and Serenity.

I have a different view when it comes to a slip or relapse. Both are preventable. Both happen because you believed the big lie that alcohol feeds you; That this time, everything is going to be OK. But it never is, is it?

Sharon, We have to learn to play the scene forward. What happens when you pick up a drink? You feel good for a short period of time but before you know it, you realize that you just blew your sobriety and for what?

I know what that feels like because I've been there and done that. It sucks!

When we wake up, if we wake up at all,

(I've known people who never woke up. And don't think it can't happen to you)

Now we have more guilt to carry around with us like you're doing now, realizing that you accomplished absolutely nothing. In AA we call this the insidious cycle of invanity. Over and over and over again.

Do you see what I mean.
One of the great truths in life is that life is tough. I have a question for you. Before you set out to pick up a drink, did you pick up the phone and call anyone?

Sobriety is not supposed to feel good in the beginning. There's going to be days
where we're coming out of our skin. That's why we have to pick up the phone and ask for help. That's why we go to AA meetings so we are around people that will support us.

People who have been there and know exactly what you're feeling and what you're going through.

These apps only do so much. People these days want a solution by way of their cell phone keyboards.

It’s hard. Read quit lit. Watch inspiring videos. Look into smart recovery if AA isn’t for you

It’s a tough cycle to break but by no means impossible, you can do it!

Sick and tired of being sick and tired and even then finding a bottom to my rock bottom? It's so frustrating but I hope you find the strength to overcome what you are going through? You hear people talking about the freedom you feel once you can get past that grip this addiction holds over us? No bs, Freedom is Amazing! Keep coming back, Keep digging, it's worth the fight.
