Step One: Okay, I'm an addict.
My issue wasn't admitting to myself of my addiction, it was the DENIAL that it was a noticable problem.
I fiercely believed that no one new I was a drug addict. That I had a good handle on my life.
I weighed 103 lbs and had began to wither away. I was neglecting responsibilities and refused to admit any fault anytime any issues arose.
I don't want to go back to that life. I don't want to feel suspicious, or crave the next fix. Scraping the bottoms of bags, carpet farming, or begging for just a quick fix. 8 months and 5 days clean.
Here I am. Accepting me on my own terms.
