Still can’t get normal sleep

The absolute hardest part about my sobriety is in almost 3 years, I can’t get my sleep schedule normal. I sit up all night just staring at my eyelids. I’ve tried reading, rain sounds, all kinds of things.

Anyone else up and have the same problem?
What’s something you’ve done that helps make you sleepy?

Do you have a regular meditation practice?

I downloaded the app balance and the sleep stories help me. And once in a while some melatonin

2 bags of sleepy time tea let them sit in the water like ten min
Worked for me when I was in rehab

I listen to sleep hypnosis with headphones. It’s not the most comfortable at first, but there are 2 I listen to: John Moyer and Michael Sealey. They knock me out every time. Oh, and I use an eye mask. I look insane, but I sleep like a rock.

I’m the same way! What I found to work for me is chocolate, audiobooks and complete darkness. I usually fall to sleep quickly but know matter how many hours I get I still wake up at 4 am :weary::joy::skull:

Same. I sleep in 1-2 hour increments. I started going to bed early and at the same time every night. It’s broken sleep but it totals about 8 hours.

Same! I often wake up every couple of hours. An eye mask 100% helps me sleep longer and I second the sleepy time tea suggestion. Also I use a fan for white noise although I’ll warn you it sucks if you travel a lot and get used to it and then don’t have it to fall asleep.
