As noted by my last post I struggle with absorbing and reflecting negative energy. As such I've been studying stoicism for my recovery space on IG (in bio) but even before that for my own applications.
I figured I would share some stoic virtues that we as addicts tend to have issue with whether it be within ourselves or those who we allow into our lives.
"Stoicism"
The Stoic regards trust and respect to a high regard.
Traits to avoid both inwardly as well as within those around us:
manipulation
lack of consideration
lack of empathy
chronic negativity
deceit
impulsivity
lack of accountability
selfishness
ingratitude
inconsistency
lack of respect for others, their safety and personal space
Note: Those who say trust and respect must be earned may not always hold much respect toward others. Be careful of those who both say and show these signs in how they treat others!
