I found this and know it helps. So I thought I would share. Reducing stress and the insane amount of cortisol and other hormones, etc created from the way we lived our lives when in action, helps us heal and allows recovery to speed up.
If you try (or have tried similar) would love to learn what works for all of us.
STRESS REDUCTION EXCERCISE:
Take a piece of paper and write down everything that has stressed you in the last month, a comment from a friend, a social media post, something that happened at work, something your partner said.
Then deal with each one using one of two techniques. Either scratch it out completely and decide that this will never happen in your life again, or, if it is something you cannot change, reduce its intensity.
If your daily commute takes 50 minutes one way and 15 minutes back, and you have to keep that commute, then change what you can. Take it at a different time so it becomes 30 minutes, or keep the 15 minutes and make the best cup of coffee, listen to good music, and change the experience. That is how you start limiting your exposure to stress.
