I havent had a huge urge to drink but the loneliness is so intense. Dog passed away on July 20 and I’ve been like a zombie since.

So sorry to hear about your dog, I’ve been there before, I had to watch my first therapy dog take her last breath, as I was staying awake with her all night in order to take care of her and alleviate her obvious suffering, while waiting until the morning to get her help like I was advised. This was during the Covid lockdown too, crazy times.
Losing a pet is a different kind of heartbreak. 
It makes sense that everything feels pretty heavy right now. We’re here for you.

I lost my dog... truly the hardest thing to go through... I found the best way to deal with this... is to do a tribute to your dog... plant a tree, make a plaque, a donation... for me, I named my little business after him as a tribute to my dog... it's does the trick... and believe me your dog in heaven would not want you sad over him/ her... my condolences
