Struggling today, it’s the first time I’ll be sober in over six years during a holiday season. All of my in laws are drinkers and have been taking shots throughout the day and will be doing it for the remainder.
I appreciate my husband for sticking by me and not partaking.
I can relate. My family is the red solo cup family. They show up to every event with a red solo cup because they can’t make it from home to wherever we are going without a drink. Sucks, but I really don’t want any to drink. The consequences suck! Let’s be grateful we are sober

We have a secret. We know that they are not having as much fun as they think they are. They get to tell the same story three times in a row. And the that third time was almost unintelligible. They get to laugh at things that are not funny. They get to discuss the deepest nonsensical topics. Then the next day not remember what they did and said. Been there done that. No thank you.
