Today has been a trying day, my boyfriend decided it was good idea to not respond to me for hours which made my anxiety rise to an all time high because this was something unusual and I thought something bad happened then I find out he’s out drinking and he’s knows I can’t be around that right now I would of told him to stay out if he would of told me what was going on but I get nothing from him to warn me he was drinking and I end up being the bad guy for wanting some consideration.

I get it. This is an adjustment for you both. When I first got sober my wife and I fought all the time about her not being considerate of drinking. It takes time and a lot of talking to get through it. If he would be willing to go to ALANON, that could be helpful. I wish you luck. Keep the conversations up, and be gentle and kind to each other.

Thank you
I was married to an alcoholic like me, divorced him after 23 years and just split up with my HS sweetheart who is a serial relapser. Your sobriety has to come first!
