I need to figure out another way to stop this I find myself going back to it when I call myself trying to get off of it completely, it's messed up my teeth. I like it cause it takes the edge off.
I lost all my teeth... Now I rock my denture. Hope can be found, life can get better.
I had to take Suboxone for several months to quit, it it works for you I say do it
Just know that Suboxone is being pushed hard by the medical community at the moment. There's a reason: the medical establishment is being pushed hard to do so by the pharmaceutical corporations who make generic Suboxone, and which profit more the more we stay sick. In the end it is wise to avoid any man-made chemical treatments for addiction. I'm not a fan of Suboxone, at least past the first month or so. Long-term, it's bad news.
Suboxone is in the current stage of sales development that Oxycodone was once in by Purdue Pharmaceutical. Suboxone is being pushed by doctors, some without AODA training due to corporate kickbacks and bonus potential, just like Oxy was a decade or two ago. This is all being done regardless of the "suspected health issues" Suboxone may cause (for content all my teeth were decayed, lost, or now extracted, I was prescribed 8mg sublingual strips 3x daily) I have been to many rehabs, detox units, jails and more than average Suboxone is abused for its similar euphoria to opiate use.
You are very correct about the long term abuse. 2-3 months at most. No one needs suboxone or methadone for for a year or two or more, they are just gettin high on it at this point. I was a incredibly heavy opiate addict, and I have used both suboxone and methadone for short periods and have no need for opioid antagonists.
