Such low energy it’s painful

My default emotional response (to stress, anxiety, depression, etc) is fatigue. I had been fighting that pretty well with a solid workout routine but I just messed up my knee by going too hard and I now have to really lay off it, probably for several weeks. The lack of motion has me feeling depressed and tired again. I don’t want to make my injury worse by pushing it too soon but physically activity was really helping me before and without it I feel like I’ve taken 50 steps backward mentally :disappointed:

I'm in a similar boat. Just let yourself heal and you'll be back at it soon. Hang in there!

Similar triggers; always hurting my back.. the physical pain is something I can work through. The depression is more difficult to work through
Yoga, active stretching, walks and lots of mental stimulus (avoid binge watching and couch surfing lol)

I know it’s tough! I’ve been right there. A few years back, I went too hard and chipped a bone in my foot and induced a stress fracture. 8 weeks of misery lay ahead of me. I felt pretty down for a week or so, but decided to still get my but in the gym every day. I focused on anything that didn’t involve legs. In 8 weeks, I grew a more solid core, and saw some good gains in upper body strength. It felt good to still be able to exercise even though I couldn’t run, row, bike, or do any heavy lifting while standing.

Improvise, adapt, and overcome! That’s what I kept telling myself.

Do upper body and core

Hang in there girl. Exercise has been my biggest help with the depression.
