Where do you find sober people outside of AA meetings ?

Track/walking trail, festivals, amusement parks, local events. But the thing about it is that you have to be sociable and be able to start and continue a conversation. Shyness or being timid makes it harder 
I am a very active volunteer for local theatres, a classical music concert series, a tennis league, an entertainment venue and the Unitarians. You have to show up sober to volunteer, and you meet lots of active, social people. Many activities are at night and are more entertaining than television!! Good luck!!
