Super new to this app

Super new to this app. But 10 months sober and i still have the worst anxiety :disappointed: any tips how to over come it with out meds?

Hello EVEN. WELL YOU ARE HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. BE A LONG TERM THINKER. OF YOU HAD 10....15.... OR 20 YEARS OF DRINKING AND USING. 10 MONTHS IS JUST A BEGINNING. WHEN I WAS 9 MONTHS SOBER. I WAS GOING THROUGH IT. AT THAT POINT I WOUND UP DOING 40 MONTHS OF OUTPATIENT TREATMENT. TODAY IM IN YEAR 37. IM STILL WORKING ON THINGS. AND YES CHANNELLING YOUR ENERGY INTO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE WILL HELP YOU. GO TO THE GYM. READ BOOKS THAT CAN HELP YOU CHANGE YOUR THOUGHT PATTERNS. TRUST THE PROCESS AND YOU WILL MAKE IT

I ENCOURAGE NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS ALSO. I CAN SUGGEST FOR BRAIN HEALTH. Heart health. This is no OVERNIGHT MATTER.

I go to therapy and man does that help. I also spend a lot of time on hobbies like art and stuff.

Prayer changes things for me Saying yes to my Higher Power Jesus Christ! Really helped and got rid of my anxiety issues. On day at a time

If it does not improve with time and meditation I finally did TMS therapy healing that part of the brain.
Life changing and insurance covers it meds free

What is that?

Do you drink a lot of caffeine? I ask because I had to lay off that per my Dr. and it definitely has helped. I still drink it from time to time :sweat_smile:

Pay very close attention to your breathing. Notice how it feels for air to enter you lungs, adding nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and not drugs into your blood stream. Feel yourself provide what you need to grow as a person as you breath, play the next footstep, remember fond things from the part.

It’s transcranial magnetic stimulation. Not new for sure but it heals prefrontal cortex where depression and anxiety live.
Insurance pays, painless life changing..I feel that dark tunnel that just grows around you and I am 6 months no symptoms of depression or anxiety memory better too

I came to say this as well. I cannot handle caffeine like I used too (sounds so silly to say) lol but when I drink coffee in the morning I get anxious all day! Then I can’t sleep at night either.

I hate that because I love caffeine so much which is in my pre workout as well :tired_face:
