This sobriety stuff is not easy. Especially when you’re faced with the defects that have you chained. How do we get rid of things? Work on it..keep doing the next right thing. Patience has never been a trait of mine, especially patience with myself. I’m grateful that I have a support system that can listen..a support system that feels non judgmental…a support system that is as fucked up as I am, but also grateful for trending the right way..or at least trying.

You’re on the right track. The steps for me. HP removing defects the way he did alcohol. See steps 6 and 7 in the 12 and 12 but work steps in order. You are willing and that’s a huge step!

I agree with Mark. Also, give yourself some grace and mercy. Work diligently on them, but don’t be so hard on yourself. Remember, you are only human. We are striving and practicing this spiritual life. It’s about progress not perfection. Plus, we need to step back sometimes to look at the growth from a long term perspective. Perhaps you had a bad day or two. That doesn’t mean you are failing. When you look at your overall progression, you will see you are growing.
