Surgery went very well for my son's Appendectomy this evening, and I'm sober! I'm feeling very grateful.

Yeah, this experience made me glad that I've chosen sobriety. No benefit would have come from me using, and just being there sober with him and afterwards was very deeply rewarding, even if a little scary here and there.
