Tackling overwhlem & anxiety

Woke up feeling that anxious "I need to finish everything all at once today" feeling I often get when feeling overwhelmed. Anxiety was one of my many triggers that led to drinking when i was in my addiction. Today, I'm usually able to recognize that feeling (sometimes it doesn't happen until I'm in the middle of responding to work emails at 4:30am and question what I'm doing) and find ways to combat it. For me, that means making a managle to do list for the day that builds in other priorities besides just work, like going for a walk, getting groceries, etc. I usually split my day into thirds to make things feel more manageable. This not only helps me prioritize but also keeps things balanced so I'm not sitting at my desk for 9 hours straight. Curious how others tackle feelings of overwhelm and anxiety?

Mentally prepare. Also, know that all you can do is all you can do. I know how much I can eat before I make my plate. No waste
