This is something i just learned and wanted to share. As a person who takes a side eyed glance at most religions, this helped me a lot.
Take what you need...
The Bible teaches many great things. From the Old Testament, I take the rules to be a good human.
From the New Testament, I take the lesson that we are all created equal.
AA also has a lot to say. From the steps I take... that we need steps!
From the Buddha, I take patience and acceptance.
From the Age of Reason, I take independent thought.
No book or religion had my answers, so I took what I needed and left the rest.
Now I just need a name for my self-styled spirituality...

13 Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and spacious and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are entering through it.

Had you started a new thread with your beliefs, I doubt you’d get any pushback from others. However, you replied to another alcoholic/addict who was posting what is working for him. I have Zero tolerance for rudeness

Something I've learned is that is anyone tells you there is only one way...and it's their way...you can go ahead and ignore them. Be nice. Be kind. But go ahead and ignore them.
I like a philosophy of love and kindness. I try to practice that.
Take what you need and leave the rest. We have seen now what the rest can look like. Leave it!!
