I'm on the fence about it. If I don't call my father, we don't talk, so it doesn't seem right. However I tended to only call him after I got drunk. I'm in my sobriety now and I'm leaning towards wishing him a happy day.
Call him. You got sober to be the best version of yourself. Be a better son call him once a week not just on holidays when it’s an obligation. Be a better son. Repair that relationship. If you only called me drunk I wouldn’t call you, I be afraid you’re drunk. Call him. Do better. Show him what sobriety is doing for you.
