"Taste your food"

I had a therapist one time (this was before sobriety/working on the food-alcohol connection) , and she'd always tell me to just "taste my food" . I.e. experience it, savor it. EAT SOMETHING. like a little taste lol. (I still struggle with this but it's better right now)

Anyway, tonight... I was adding some black pepper out of a peppermill into some pasta sauce and vegetables I was making. Aaaaand somehow the bottom fell out , and I spilled all the whole peppercorns into my food. What a mess. I did the best I could to clean it up, but the pepper flavor is still there.

So Tara, if you're out there somewhere- I'm sure you're laughing at me right now. Eating this EXTREMELY peppery food. I think you'd be proud to know I'm sober, at least at this moment in time. And I'm definitely DEFINITELY tasting my food lol lol lol.
