Tell me please

Remember your only responsible for your own recover share alway where your at ask for suggestions put god in front always and he will show you the way keep fighting you got this it gets better odaat

I’ve broken countless ties. It’s important to try and differentiate someone who’s a true friend and someone who you used with and made you feel comfortable in doing so. See who shows up. See who wants to go do sober things with you. See who builds you up and supports you for all you are. I don’t think anyone in recovery should be near addicts and honestly maybe ever again. It’s going to be hard to do that but nothing meaningful really comes easy.

"You are who you surround yourself with"...But that goes without saying right. Light and darkness cannot occupy the same space, because one will overtake the other. Me myself, I busy myself with meetings, work, the gym and any other healthy environments that's conducive to my recovery because I know, if I go a sit in the "barbershop", I WILL get a haircut eventually. Stay vigilant, continue thinking about what your thinking about and pulling down every non valid thought and you'll do well Aimee

I always thought the dark couldn’t overtake my light. I always played with it. I learned I was WRONG a little over a year ago.

You and me both...I've played around as well one too many times. This is now my 4th time trying to get things right. Now the stakes are higher, the collateral damage has increased and my addiction got progressively worst. However, I know now that I cannot use successfully, I just can't and I'm comfortable with that. But I know that I'll be ok - as long as I keep my recovery and Higher Power first and reach out to those who genuinely care about me when I'm going through it. Keeping myself close to the heard, for assistance in times of need. You'll be fine too my friend, I'll keep you in my prayers.
