I am grateful for my AA family. They’ve been so welcoming ever since I walked into that door 8 days ago. During the middle of my work day I thought about drinking. I wanted a Mike’s Hard so bad. I fought my thoughts and got myself to a meeting. I’m thankful that I am able to be myself in that room full of amazing people. I can talk about whatever I’ve done drunk, what I think sober, where I’m at mentally without any judgments. If you are struggling and have not been to an AA meeting in your local area, GO! You will never find more loving and caring people.
