Even though he knows I’m a dog person… Long, stressful and really sad day today. But sober! So I am thankful for that too. Also very thankful for my family and friends. Even my special Loosid friend on here. We’ve got each other. And it helps! Hold the ones you love tight. They aren’t here forever. Feeling the feels sucks big time, but I’d rather feel the feels than not remember what I went through today.
Stay blessed my friends. We’ve only got today. And don’t forget to tell those you love that you love them. It will matter!

My cat has been a huge part of my recovery. It killed me leaving him to go to rehab and I was afraid he would have a different attitude toward me when I got back home. But he’s been more loving than ever and I’m cherishing all the time we have together.
Aww!! I always kind of wondered if they’d be like dogs and remember us. You answered that one! How sweet of the little guy. Or girl.

He’s always been affectionate by nature. When he first saw me he kind of froze and just stared, then within a few seconds he came running over and plopped down at my feet and started rolling around and meowing .
