I had a rough day today. One of those days where the silence from your phone starts to hurt, and the loneliness creeps in. I decided to find an online SMART Recovery meeting, and the only one happening right then, when I really needed it, was way out in Kansas, somewhere far from me. I didn't realize it was a small group; in less than a minute, it was my turn to share. So I just talked about the silence, the loneliness, the feeling I was sitting with, all of it. And just like that, I wasn't alone anymore. People had real advice for me. I ended that meeting completely out of the funk I was in. I am so grateful for how convenient online support really is. A meeting on the other side of the country still met me exactly where I was.

I understand the feeling today. I physically went to a wellness meeting and an AA meeting. Still in my feelings a little bit but got some relief. I’m very happy for you! It’s crazy how online we find people that know just how we feel and they are thousands of miles away! Keep your chin up!
