Thankful for sobriety!

My awesome sponsor gave me her 6-month chip. Happy sober 6 months to me! It seemed like it took forever to get here, but now the date is here and passed in a snap.

It started off that I just thought I was really lonely. I told myself I was going to AA for companionship. Within a couple of weeks, I was telling a sponsor that I was powerless over alcohol and that my life was unmanageable. From there, I dove in :100:. When I have cravings, I make those phone calls, even when the phone weighs a ton. I've made connections with the women and stayed away from the men. I listen to an AA speaker podcast anytime I'm driving. I go to 1 or 2 meetings a day. I surrendered myself to the program and the advice I've been given. I do that again.and again, every day.

I'm glad to hear that because getting to a year seems like getting to the end of eternity.

Thank you!!!
