This month has been a struggle, Thanksgiving was fun but at the same time horrible all the drinking going on around me was giving me anxiety i was so anxious for a drink. I hope i can get through the holidays!
Sindel just take it one day at a time like I do. My ex and I sobered up together and I didn't want to go to a navy party because I was worried about drinking. Well my ex laughed and said hey we can make fun of everybody drinking our soda! Observe the way people unfortunately change and that has kept me from doing the same. Pray to your higher power a lot helps God bless you
You made it through Thanksgiving, and that counts. Stay close to people who get what you’re trying to do and take it one thing at a time.
Hi, Sindel.
This is Blake.
You CAN do it! With God’s help and the good people around you, you CAN overcome. It may not be easy, but anything worth attaining usually isn’t easy. This addiction we have has come to destroy us. The good news is that our Higher Power and the positive people sent into our lives are present to help us succeed. You being honest is the most excellent way. Strength comes through courage like yours. Be as weak and as vulnerable as you need to be and strength that is greater than your own natural strength shall come.
You can and you will stay strong you might want to take a raincheck if you aren't comfortable being around it i know I've taken some for the holidays until I get stronger to being around it

CONGRATULATIONS
on your 279 days of sobriety.
Of those 279 days 1 day was for Thanksgiving and you made it. Not only did you get through a holiday however you made it to the here and now.
You can do this my friend. Keep up the good work.
I'm proud of you.
You can for sure. There's a place where any amount of drinking won't make you anxious, just grateful that you aren't doing that.
That is a beautiful reply. That helps me too. I know God, or whatever is your higher power, loves us so much. He created us, we’re his children. He’ll help us in ways we don’t even understand, but we MUST make every effort to move forward in a way that will indeed help us and all others who are in our lives. He knows what’s in our heart. He understands why we suffer so much. Breathe deep and know He is by your side every step of the way.
