Have you thought about journaling? That’s one way to get your thoughts out and be able to identify patterns which can help you learn new ways to handle your emotions. AA/support groups are also great. I personally benefited by journaling and seeing a therapist.

Thats a good idea.ill try being more active in aa or na.then journaling

Are you working with a sponsor? The sponsor is a guide to help you learn and apply solutions that really work if you really work them.

Hey Ryan! Your emotions have been stifled for so very long, and they are bound to come out in unappealing ways. This is actually a really good sign of being healthy and growing. Feelings can be extremely scary though,I know how that feels. my mantra:
Your thoughts create your emotions, your emotions create your mood and your mood creates your day. It probably feels like you are being controlled by your thoughts however, you decide how you think and how you feel. Say positive affirmations on a daily basis, when a negative thought comes be aware of it, and change it you have all the power :two_hearts:

Whatever feeling you have ….feel it to its entirety, don’t try to run from it. that’s just an old pattern repeating itself. Once you feel it, and process it, you can let it go.

Thanks…I really struggled today with allowing feeling, came too close to having to reset sober date. Nice to come across your words.

Yeah its scary but no one gets you, specially with my family.I guess their getting tired or sick dealing with me.Sometimes i just want to tap out and leave everything behind.i just dont have enough courage to do it.
Some days or part of the day that you feel motivated but then again part of that day your love one treat you or you thought that treat the way you dont want to.motivation is gone.
