I'm not a 12 stepper myself. Almost 2 years sober and not looking back!

Ty so much! I am open to suggestions

Beautiful! Congratulations

You can be sober without a 12 step program, its all about how bad you want to change your life. I've been sober 2 years 8 months and did it wanting a better life.

I’m done and I know in my heart that I’m done. Finally thank God!

Sobriety requires a change of mindset. A 12 step works for many people because it spells out how to go about this change of mindset literally in steps. Smart recovery is another method. I do not follow a 12 step and have 2 years 9 months sober

I agree. I’m finding it’s not enough to just not drink. It’s examining yourself to find what’s missing and whatever else needs to be addressed. I like my 12 step community because I need the support but have also heard lots of paths on different podcasts, etc.

That's good, but wondering why your letting everyone know that your not into 12step program?

Bc I’ve seen that ppl announce their beliefs in 12 steps so I feel comfortable stating mine.

But you don't go to 12 steps. It's confusing. Sorry.

Just want to understand Heather. Not judging you.

You don’t have to figure anything I say out. I’m not being confrontational on your posts now am I

No your not, but your definitely confrontational

I'm not trying to figure anything out. You posted your big announcement to the community and I was just trying to understand the benefits of it. If I makes you feel better than hey good for you. Staying sober is the goal. Congratulations

Ty! Congratulations :balloon:
