The blessings in recovery

So today i sat with my morning cup of coffee listening to the birds sing in the rain. Resting my daily readings and reflecting on what the last 542 days have blessed me with:

  1. A relationship with the Lord
  2. Relationships with my sons
  3. Friends who have become family
  4. Health, life, happiness, joy, and being content with what I have in life

Tomorrow is my oldest sons wedding. And there’s no way that if i were still drinking and drugging that I’d be in attendance.
My middle and youngest are in my life and we talk at least twice a week.

Having and living with gratitude daily makes the days even better.

Here we are starting a new week. Let’s remember to count our blessings.

Here’s to another 24 !!!

This is awesome. Never get too busy that you’re not sitting still, reflecting, and giving yourself time to ground. That’s one of the areas I know I need to get back to—taking a few minutes in the morning just to breathe, reflect, and be grateful for everything I have in recovery.
