Maybe it's just me but these days it all seems more like a transaction. More of a " what can you offer me in exchange " Or worse "What do you have that I need" kind of thing. Feels like the days of a lady & man getting to know each other. Bonding over time or even becoming good friends at the least are loooooong gone. Nevermind what the Bible states. " A man leaves his mother & father & cleaves to his wife" Becoming "one"....... Yeah right

Good luck brother. Hopefully you'll find what you are looking for but remember 99% of the time it's not you. It's them that are expecting something that is not part of a meaningful relationship.

I think once we heal, we’re able to see a bit better and making connections comes easier. Not sure if this is what you’re referring to but it’s what comes to mind
