1 year ago tonight I had my last drunk. I was at a crossroads where I was to choose to end my life or to save it. I asked an acquaintance in the recovery field for help getting help. Within a couple hours I was accepted into rehab in Texas (I’m in NY), my flight was booked and I was on a plane the next afternoon. Today I am 363 days sober. I am a grateful alcoholic. Grateful to those who helped me and for what I have learned along the way.
