The first few days of sobriety are so hard. To get through the sleepless night I am fostering kittens. It makes it seem a little more positive than lying in bed thinking how shitty alcohol made life. Like even with these shitty withdrawal symptoms this dude will live (and he is lucky as a cat chances are he will live an alcohol free life lol:)

Yeah the first days/weeks are difficult, but your resolve is so strong because the pain of what it’s like when drinking is so near. Taking care of the kitties and giving them love is a nice little distraction. Wouldn’t hurt to find a few meetings to pass the time either. Keep pushing
