The first real amends I need to make for my

The first real new amends I need to make for my stupid addict behavior in 19 months. I got myself in a situation that triggered me and I reacted badly. My own fault because I thought I had dealt with stuff. I was wrong. And now I am finding this new thing. And I don’t know if that person I’d going to accept my apology and it may be irreconcilable and that is hard. My family, friends, people I did Erin in active addiction have all forgiven and embraced my new sober life and everything has been great. So I haven’t had to deal with the amends that isn’t accepted or the person who doesn’t forgive me. I know I do not dictate other peoples feelings and if he chooses not to accept it I have to accept that and deal with it. It’s something I have never encountered sober. When I was using I wouldn’t have given a flying F, but I do and it’s renting space in my head and I don’t know how to handle it. Sucks. Sucks better sober and I know I only have today and tomorrow is a new 24 hours. I just have to live with it today. If it was easy everyone would do it lol

Well I feel the whole making amends and forgiving thing is more for you than anything else!!! Some people haven’t and won’t! And it’s ok not to give a F sober, lol…just sayin! :call_me_hand:t3::v:t3::sunglasses:

Thank you❤️ that’s a good point, I’ve owned it, I’ve put all the awkward crazy embarrassing junk out there and that’s all I can do I guess. All I can do is the next right thing and stay in my lane and know I owned my part and acknowledge that and hope for the best. And I suppose if forgiveness and understanding isn’t an option on the other end then it wasn’t meant to be and thats God removing people from both our paths that wasn’t meant to be.

That’s a very good point. Thank you for that! If it’s not worth fighting for or working through , it’s not worth it.
